Pinot Noir

Siegel Traditionsweingüter Österreich

Stein

Rainer has always wanted to grow Pinot Noir since the founding of his winery. But since this was not immediately possible in the Wachau and the Kremstal, this heart project was put into practice in 2010 with the purchase of a vineyard behind the Riede Steiner Hund. On steep Gföhler Gneiss and slate terraces, the first vines were planted. The high proportion of slate in the soil and the coolness of the location characterise the taste of our pinot noir.
